Ownership

Big Bear Consulting is a sole proprietorship. I have worked hard and long to get this company going. I will keep doing so as long as I am capable and as long as it does not affect my family life in a negative way. I have made many mistakes in starting this company, I have learnt patience and planning is the key. You know, I will surely make more mistakes along the way. Learning is my greatest asset, making mistakes is part of the learning process, therefore making mistakes will only make me a better person and it will only make this a better company!

History

While studying for my degree in Pure & Applied Sciences in 1991, my parents bought me my first computer; a 486xt. That day I had it in pieces, the next it was back together and running fine. By the year 2000 I had my degree in Pure & Applied Sciences, Law & Security and Network Administration / Programmer Analyst. From there I was hired into the government even before finishing my Internship. After 6 years I started Big Bear Consulting and took a one year sabbatical from the Government. I officially left the Government in 2007 and I continued as a consultant until 2009. I was hired by PlantCML (a division of EADS) in September 2009. I was looking for a new challenge. From that point on I decided to re-focus Big Bear Consulting into a service based business.

Facilities

Overhead costs like electricity, furniture, rent/mortgage maintenance...these are all things that affect the cost of services to clients. Gratefully I don't have to deal with that because I don't have them. I run my company from my home. I have a complete installation in my basement that has more capabilities than many data centers...It's quite impressive, honestly!
